The Tenth Auditors’ Conference Held at the Supreme Audit Office on Legislative Changes
On 14 November 2024, the Supreme Audit Office hosted the jubilee 10th annual conference of internal and external auditors entitled "Let Us Prepare for Change". The conference was jointly organised by the Public Audit Oversight Board, the Czech Institute of Internal Auditors, the Supreme Audit Office and the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic. The main topics included the new Global Internal Audit Standards (effective from January 2025) and upcoming legislative changes in the fields of accounting and auditing.
Cybersecurity in Audit
Jiří Diepolt from the Public Audit Oversight Board presented the topic "DORA & NIS2(R)EVOLUTION IN AUDIT AND CYBERSECURITY". His presentation followed up on the 2022 conference, where he highlighted the key role of the human factor in cybersecurity and the importance of IT auditing. This year's contribution focused on the new DORA and NIS2 regulations, which introduce significant changes to the approach to digital resilience and cybersecurity within the audit profession.
